The IBI Scientific Hi/Lo Profile benchtop analog rocker uses 115V at speeds between 0 to 30rpm, and has an adjustable tilt angle, a thin, flat power cord, stainless steel construction, and a non-skid autoclavable platform. The rocking action of this shaker provides a seesaw motion for even mixing. The tilt angle is continuously adjustable between 2 to 11˚ without tools for ease of operation. A thin, flat power cord passes through the incubator door gasket without compromising the internal environment. This shaker can operate in a variety of environments including cold rooms, CO2 incubators at high humidity, and dry ovens up to 65˚ for flexibility. With the motor beside the platform, the rocker easily fits on incubator or refrigerator shelves. The unit is constructed of 300 series stainless steel, which allows for cleaning and sterilization of shelves and provides resistance to staining, fading, or corrosion of surfaces. Each platform has a non-skid mat to hold and stabilize the load during processing. Applications for this shaker include staining/destaining gels, hybridizations, Western blotting and membrane rinsing, radiolabeling cells in incubators, and Lambda Phage elution/amplification of cDNA libraries.Laboratory shakers agitate liquids during laboratory procedures. These devices can be analog or digital and are typically an automated, electrically powered, countertop unit that shakes liquid in lab containers, such as flasks, funnels, or test tubes. Some shakers can operate inside fume hoods, incubators, refrigerators, or other laboratory devices, and can include controls for the frequency and/or degree of movement. The types of shakers include: orbital, rocking, rolling, rotating, and wrist action. The most common orbital shaker provides a smooth, continuous, circular motion, sometimes with a tilt angle, for uniform mixing of contents. The rocking shaker creates gentle uniform mixing with a see-saw, or up and down, motion. Reciprocating, or rolling, shakers provide a horizontal side-to-side motion with simple agitation of samples. A rotating, or rotisserie, shaker provides samples with a rotating action that moves in a circular motion. Wrist-action shakers duplicate the effect of hand mixing with "arms" on each side of the unit. Some shakers have the ability to incubate or refrigerate samples while providing shaking action.IBI Scientific manufactures laboratory equipment such as shakers, rockers, and rollers. The company, founded in 1985 and headquartered in Peosta, IA, meets International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standard 9001:2008.
