The Andersen double-hung window opening control device kit includes a right and left-hand device. The devices are installed on both sides of the sash and limit the opening of the venting sash to less than four inches when the sash is first opened. Release of the device allows the sash to be further opened for full sash ventilation and/or emergency escape and rescue. The opening control devices are automatically reset once the sash is returned to its fully closed position. The double-hung opening control devices meet requirements of ASTM F2090-08 and ASTM F2090-10 for Window Fall Prevention Devices With Emergency Escape and (Egress) Release Mechanisms.
